Handelsblatt shows why industrial smartwatches are the solution to many of the current challenges in intralogistics.

Many companies face the challenge of wasting a lot of time in picking-related processes with the need to put scanners down while working. Employees complain that the devices are not comfortable to wear and that it takes effort to train new employees in the processes.
The smartwatch allows direct interaction between the logistician and the warehouse management system with step-by-step instructions on the display. This significantly lowers the skill barriers and enables familiarization within a few minutes.

Manual stocktaking and laborious picking processes are still standard in intralogistics – yet they cost time and money. With an “Industrial Smart Watch”, the young company Nimmsta wants to digitalize intralogistics and create workflows that should offer significantly more efficiency. Only good organization and efficient internal processes can meet the high expectations in intralogistics in the long run. A smooth workflow is indispensable for this. This may look different for every company – but the basic requirements remain the same: uncomplicated communication and simple processes. The winners will be announced on June 22, 2023 at the Dortmunder U. As part of the opening of TEST CAMP INTRALOGISTICS (March 29-30), the organizers of the International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) AWARD presented the “Best in Intralogistics” certificates of 2023. Representatives of a total of 21 companies accepted the certificate in Hall 3 of Messe Dortmund.
